INTERLOCKING IN ALL D-SIGNAL CONTROLLERS

After a short delay we have been able to include full signal interlocking into the product.  This started with a few request for a way to use the D-Signal Controller to light the aspects in a three-way switch.  We got that working in a few days but then realized that a three-way switch is just two switches merged into one with one being primary and the other “interlocked” with the first.  In other words, when the first turnout is turned AWAY from the second one, it blocks a path to the exit.  In that case, BOTH signals of the second turnout should show Red regardless of the physical position of the switch.  Then, we decided that if we could simply cascade that through many turnouts we would be able to have a complex interlocking system without a computer and without much fuss.  All that is working and it is pretty slick!

In order to use the Coil Sensor your switches must be running on 12-16v DC, not AC.  The turnouts will operate just fine on DC and its and easy thing to switch over.

Dwarf signals are typically used in yards and siding to indicate the direction of turnouts.  Thus, each turnout would have at least two signals.  It also is possible to have a  Dwarf signals at the head the turn where Green means mainline and red means siding.  Another words, facing in the opposite direction.

The Model Train Technology Dwarf Signal controller is a FOUR light Fiber Light Controller.  This provides for signaling for two turnouts.

This product comes with two dwarf signals each with 36″ of fiber cable and the associate pins.   Additional dwarf signals can be purchase on the store.

You will use 2-core fiber pins (included) so that the Red and Green are swapped between the two Dwarf Signals.

The Dwarf Signal Controller can be trigger in one of five ways:

1. Operation of a stall- type actuating motor
2. Snap-like coil switch machine – this requires the MTT Coil Switching adapter
3. DCC Mirroring
4. Precision Detector
5. Mechanical Toggle or spring loaded center switch

The Coil Detector is only available with the purchase of a Dwarf Signal Controller.

The New gate has a 12VDC Motor with metal gears, redesigned Gate arm, grounding plug, teflon wires and improved Gate Motor Box.

This gate V2 requires Version 2.0 Controller – SOLD SEPARATELY.

Replacements are put into the production/shipping queue in sequence as a New Order.  Therefore, delivery time is approximately 4 weeks.

The G Scale Motorized Crossing Gate is simple to operate and looks like the real thing!  The Gate Controller ( and the signal/motor) runs on 12VDC  and needs only a Signal wire connection to a Precision Detector MAX to operate. You can use a Solar Battery, our Power Module or the 12VDC Power Supply (All available in our store)

The Crossing Gate unit is weather tolerant which means if it accidentally gets wet the unit will not be ruined. BUT – don’t leave the unit outside or cover it when not in use.

The Crossing Controller is NOT weather proof (or tolerant) and must be protected from weather.

PRODUCTION TIME FROM ORDER IS about 10 days. 

You can connect either the Bell Module (to be releases shortly) or the Sound Module using the same signal wire for the detectors. Order Separately.

For East/West detection, add a second Precision Detector MAX and join the signal wires.

There are two options for mounting the crossing:  4 x 4 Rubber blocks or the newly introduced Thin Magnet Mounting

There are four pre-recorded sound tracks (4 different crossing bells ). You can load your own sounds and we provide the USB cable.

To select a sound, simply connect the SIGNAL OUT from the G Controller to any one of the four input terminals on the G Sound Module board.

The sound is quite loud even with the case on.  However, you can connect a remote speaker instead.  We also provide terminals for DIGITAL OUT which can be use to connect to the input of an Amplifier.

The rubber mounting block is an option.
